ABOUT US

Uplift is a church committed to loving God and loving people.

We are passionate about partnering with the local community to

build relationships that advance the Kingdom of God.

We are a church that loves to welcome visitors

from all walks of life to come and experience the love of Jesus.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to enlarge the Kingdom of God by loving God, loving people, and living His Word.

What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the ultimate authority for life.

The Trinity

We believe there is one God, eternally existing as one essence and three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Deity of Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and resurrected from the dead.

Salvation

We believe all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. We believe in forgiveness of sin and salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Communion + Water Baptism

Communion is done as a memorial to Jesus. It symbolizes the breaking of Jesus' body and the shedding of his blood. The Bible commands us to follow the example of Jesus and be immersed in water. It symbolizes that we have died with Christ and have been raised to new life.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to share the gospel. The Spirit gives believers gifts to edify and build up the church. We believe the gifts of the Spirit demonstrated in a Scriptural and orderly way are a vital part of God's design for the church.

Healing

We believe the healing power of Jesus is available for us today through the atoning work of Jesus.

Return of Jesus

We believe that Jesus will return to gather up the church. There will be a final judgment in which the dead will be resurrected and judged. Everyone whose name is not in the Book of Life will be separated for eternity in hell. Those whose names are in the Book of Life will be rewarded and will spend eternity with God in heaven.
